Rain, rain, and more rain has been a big issue on Sabine Lake this past month. With all of this freshwater the trout fishing has been very spotty. Few reports of trout catches on the north end of the lake and a few on the south end. The redfish still remain the best bite around. Right now when your fishing in a cut in the bayou, it’s not unusual to catch a bass, blue catfish, and reds in the same hole. There is a bunch of shrimp in the marshes right now and soon as we get some cold fronts and cooler water temperatures, I believe the trout action will improve. I will be targeting redfish for the most part until this happens! Dead shrimp fished in the cuts has been my best bite on outgoing tides.9E58F6B8-
