Well Sabine Lake has been on a wild roller coaster ride this year. The fishing patterns this years has got every0ne scratching there head. You can go out there and catch limits one day and the next day struggle. All of this cycle this year maybe due too the lack of shrimp in the lake and the over abundance of shad. I do believe this is the most shad I ever seen on Sabine Lake. I think the trout and redfish are feeding heavily on them at night. This is the only reason for the lack of limits daily. There is plenty of redfish and trout in the lake just have to catch them feeding! So here is a quick report and some pics of whats been going on this past two months. Redfish on the shorelines on out going tides, Trout are scattered from the north end too the south. Very little bird action. Live bait is the way too go right now for everything. Carolina rigged shad and finger mullet have been the best bait!IMG_3201IMG_3641IMG_3689IMG_3823IMG_3824IMG_4092
