Redfish Tournament,Bass fishing, and Flounder WOW!
Fishing has been crazy come here latley. Between running up to Toledo Bend bass fishing and tournament fishing my schedule has been hectic. I only have three more tournaments scheduled these next few weeks and then I am done. With that said, Chad Trahan and I tried our skills at the redfish extreme tournament out of Port Neches park last weekend. We finished up in 14th place with two redfish going 14.41lbs. There were some heavy stringers brought in. It took almost 15 lbs to make the top ten. Sabine Lake tends to still amaze me. The tournament was won with 17.4 lbs! It was an awesome experience to fish against some of the best. Now local fishing has cranked up. The trout bite is on, flounder fishing is hot and redfishing is not far behind. Its time to book your trips and rip some lips!!

Stuffed Flounder Instead Of Turkey!!
We have finally reached the peek of the flounder run. Right now you have that perfect chance to catch one of those doormat flounder, you always here about! Just recently, I had a chance to fish with my brother, Justin Trahan and Blandon Badon. These guys have figured out how to catch doormats. The number one lure of choice has been the Flounder Pounder!! These baits can be purchase from Phill and Joe Ortiz at flounderpounder.net or locally in Sulphur, Louisiana at the Tackle Box located on maplewood drive. These lures are designed to increase hook up ration 3:1. Also there is no other bait out there that can be presented like theirs! I would highly recommend purchasing some now! The flounder bite should remain strong untill December!! So get on that Calcasieu/Sabine Ship Channel and catch you some!!
Doormat Flounder Showing Up!!
The flounder bite is about to really heat up on Sabine Lake. Water temps have finally fallen enough to start the first wave of flounder migration. Flounder are preparing to head to the Gulf of Mexico to spawn. These fish stack in the ship channel and mouths of bayous this time of year. Due to the recent flounder regulations in Texas, fisherman should try to fish Louisiana where limits are still liberal. Book now to catch trophy flounder!!
