Well the trout bite has still been a mystery here on Sabine Lake. They are scattered under the lady fish schools. The only problem is having to deal with all the gaftop catfish mixed in with the schools. We should see an improving trout bite because there is plenty of shrimp in the marsh and lake showing up. The redfish bite has been the ticket here lately. There are some big schools in the lake when it is calm enough to find them. All the cuts in the marshes are holding redfish which is great. Some spots you can catch a limit other than that you need to stick and move. Shrimp and gulp is the best baits for them right now. Book your trips now for some line bending action! September is one of my favorite months coming up for redfish!IMG_4530IMG_4531IMG_4538
