Trout,Redfish, and a Sea Turtle!!!
Fished Friday with Mr. Wade Vincent, wife Jennifer, and also Regan Thibodeaux came along for the adventure. Well what an adventure it was!! We got caught in a severe thunderstom in the Gulf of Mexico. It was already rough when we began the trip. Just ask Wade as he left his morning breakfast in the gulf while hurling on the side of the boat. It’s okay Wade ,I won’t tell anybody! After the storms passed the weather began to let up and the seas began to calm. The fish were biting until we ran out of bait. Ended up with 37 trout 2- 4 pounds!! Book your trips now fishing is still hot!!!!

Topwater Trout!!
Today I fished Calcasieu Lake and caught lots of trout!! I was just playing around and got into a nice school of trout down south. Plastics became boring after awhile. You would catch a fish on every cast but t
hey were small. Also the gafttop were hitting plastic. I switched to a super spook and the big fish were there. I started catching trout 2-6 pounds!! It was awesome!!!
Future Guides!!
Today I was able to take my two sons fishing, Noah and Nolan. We fished with live shad and caught a nice mess of reds and a few small trout. Well after about and hour of fishing, they decided they wanted to go swimming. I took them to a small beach where they had a blast. I had a great day being able to spend time with my boys. We could of easily limited out on redfish but the swimming idea was alot easier and cooler. Good call boys!!

Sunday August 9 2009
Fished today with Big Mike aka (Speedy) and his coworker from US pipeline. Today we fished in Calcasieu Lake. We fished live shad in the ship channel and caught about a dozen or so trout. We didn’t catch but about 30 shad for bait to fish with. Betwen the ladyfish, hardheads, and slinging them off the hook ,when casting ,they didn’t last very long. I know we would of have caught alot more fish with more shad available because I watched a boat 100 yards from me stroke them!! They had plenty of bait. We finally caught more shad, but by the time we found them, the bite died. Also you had to be in that sweet spot. Even though we got the short end of the deal on trout, Speddy got his wish. He caught a big redfish. It was a fun day to fish somewhere different. Hope we get to do it again guys.
Saturday August 8 2009

Fished with Glen Grantham,John Foster and Rodney Billiot. We ended uo with 40 nice trout in the 2-5 pound range. The gulf was a little rougher than expected but we managed to bare the seas. Oopps!! I finally gave out a little information where we fished. I really enjoyed the day guys and oh by the way Glen, Louisiana Does Not have a limit on hardheads so you were perfectly legal.
FRIDAY AUGUST 7 2009
My son Noah finally got his first and second Ling!! Thanks with the help of his Uncle Justin and Captain Ray. They also had a box of 41 trout to top the the trip off. Sure does make it easy to catch fish when you borrow your brothers boat and take along another Captain. It was a great trip, Noah said, and him and Ean Griffith had a blast. Thank you Justin and Ray. I’m proud of you Noah, love you son!
Calm Seas= Easy Limits!!!
I had my scouts go out and check on some of my Gps honey holes today in Sabine Lake, Justin Trahan and Ray Collins. Well it is hard to give up some information for me sometimes but I trust these guys. I sent them out to only two spots and they caught their limits in and hour and half!! I guess my fish are still there. Alot of people are starting to read my reports and reply. Everyone wants to know how come I don’t tell where or what I am catching on. To me thats the fun of fishing. Figuring out the bite and where to fish at certain times of the year. It took me a long time to develop my patterns and every time I fish I learn something new. So if I gave everybody location and baits the fish are biting on I would just be hurting myself. If you would like some info that might help you now all I can say is to fish deeper water!! The pictures are the proof of what happens when I give out my info!! As you can tell most fish were in the 2-5 pound range. Justin and Ray said it was a unbelievable bite, by the way guys Shhhhhhhh!!!!
Enough For A Fish Fry!!

Fished this past Saturday with Ken Saltzman and family. The weatherman had predicted 5-8 mph southwest winds and he was wrong. It blew 15-20!! Despite the frustrating wind we were able to catch 10 solid trout in the 2-5 pound range and one redfish 18 pounds. Also manage to catch a flounder and loose one right at the boat. After cleaning the fish we still ended up having a gallon and half of fillets. That is definitely enough for a fish fry!! Ken, when you and your boys come back we will make up for the slow day.
For some nice fast and furious action lets shoot for October. But definitely be on stand by because you never know when they’re going to fire up. All it takes is some nice calm days and it will be on. Look forward to do it again guys.
