Got Grease?
Fished with three diehard fishermen this Sunday, Cody,Nathan, and Tyler. Well the day started out slow but we couldn’t complain because the 14 trout we caught early were 3-5 pounds. As we neared the 12:00 noon mark, the bite had slowed down. I was running out of options and the fish weren’t cooperating with my game plan. I took a wild gamble to one last spot and low and behold it was on. The fish were biting on every cast and the action was nonstop. We left them biting!! Even though the day started out slow, sometimes if you hang in their an extra couple of hours it pays off. These guys were wanting to have a big fish fry for everyone at work. Looks like mission acomplished. Hope we do it again guys.
That’s Fishing!!
Fished Friday with Jim and Kevin Schultz. Well we didn’t catch them like we wanted, but we did give it our best effort. The trout we managed to catch were very finicky to bite. We worked hard till about 1:00 and called it quits. The highlight of the day was Mr. Jim’s two stingrays he landed. Both of them fought like 5 pound trout. Well after releasing them we all kind of laughed about the two five pound trout(stingrays). We had a great time and hopefully we will get to do it again. I told Jim and Kevin I wished we would have caught a few more ,but Jim understood and quoted”That’s Fishing”.
Hot Weather=Hot Fishing!!
Fished with Randy and Greg Trahan this past weekend. We caught everything from sharks, croakers, hardheads, black drum, redfish, and trout. No matter what was pulling on the other end of the line ,these guys were loving it. After fishing till about 10:45 a.m Sunday, Randy and Greg had enough of the heat. Even though we fished a short while the trout were biting as you can tell. Remember guys, to stay hydrated in this summer heat. Drink plenty of fluids and be careful on the water.
Big Bad Bull Red and Lots of Trout!!
Fished today with father and son team George and Brad Dearbonne. The highlight of the day was the big bull red that Mr. George landed after a 20 minute fight. He was able to land the redfish on 12lb. test. It would have easily weighed between 35-40lbs. He did a great job! Also their limits of trout were caught. Hopefully we will get to do it again guys.
